Testing My New Camera 新しいカメラを試す

Like I said the other day, Panasonic just announced the new one called GF2. It's smaller and smarter (it's got a touch screen and stuff), but oh well, I got my GF1 because of the price. I'm pretty sure GF2 is going to be twice more expensive for a long time. Anyways, I got the battery yesterday and tested the camera. Here are some pictures I've taken.
先日の投稿で言ったように、パナソニックが新しいバージョンGF2を発表しました。少し小さくなって、タッチスクリーンなど新しい機能がついています。まぁGF1を買った理由は異常なまでの値段の下がりようだったので、べつに今はまったくGF2が欲しいとは思ってません。どうせ値段は２倍くらいになるはずだし。とにかく、昨日電池が届いたのでいろいろ試してみました。

Koko Wounded ココ怪我をする

When I was combing her last night, I found something was sticking out of her leg. I thought it was a peace of wood or something. Well, I took her to the vet today. He shaved her leg and, we found out it was just a scab getting off from her skin. Maybe she just fell while she was running around the house? Anyways, he gave her two shots (fast acting antibiotic/steroids, and slow acting one). I just have to keep her wound clean and put some ointment a few times a day. Hopefully, it heals in a few days. If it doesn't, I need to take her back to do some tests for some other possible causes.
昨日の夜ココをとかしていたら、何かが足から飛び出しているのを見つけました。木片かなにかが突き刺さっているのかなと思っていたのですが、今日獣医さんに連れて行くと、足をバリカンで刈ってもらって、木片ではなくてかさぶたが細い棒状になっていたのが分かりました。うちの中で走り回っていてずっこけてすりむいたのかな？とにかく、即効性の抗生物質とステロイド剤の入った注射と、持続性の同じものをやってもらって帰ってきました。あとは１日に数回きれいにして軟膏をぬってあげないといけません。数日で治るといいのですが。治らない場合はまた病院へ戻って、他の病気などの検査をしないといけません。

My New Camera 新しいカメラ

I just received my new camera from Japan (took only 4 days!). Panasonic GF1 is about to be replaced by GF2 or whatever they call, so the price has been dropping pretty bad these days in Japan. When I ordered, it was 40,000 yen (about $490) with the 20mm pancake lens ($688 at Amazon USA as of today). Unfortunately, you cannot ship any batteries to the United States right now, so my mom had to take that one out of the box. I ordered the battery from Amazon USA (it was cheaper than Amazon Japan), and it's on the way to my house right now. I'm gonna upload some pics whenever I get the battery pack.
さっき日本から母にお願いしていたカメラが届きました。４日で届きました。パナソニックのGF1という一眼（一眼レフではないです）です。そろそろGF2が出そうなので、考えられないほど値段が下がっています。アメリカではまだ値崩れしてないので日本から注文。２０ミリのパンケーキレンズがついて４万円でした。残念ながら、アメリカにはバッテリーが送ることができないらしく、母に抜いてもらって送ってもらいました。アメリカのアマゾンでバッテリーを注文したのでそろそろ届くはずです。届いたら写真をアップします。

Compared to Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xti with EF 28mm f/1.8 USM and lens hood, it looks like a point & shoot camera. They have almost the same length converting to 35mm scale. (taken with my iPhone 4)
キャノンEOS Kiss X (アメリカではRebel Xtiと呼ばれています)にEF 28mm f/1.8 にレンズフードをつけた物と比べると、まるでコンデジみたいです。３５ミリ換算だとこの２つはほぼ同じ画角になります。(iPhone 4で撮影)

Koko Eats Slow ココはゆっくり食べます

My friend recorded and see how fast her labradoodle eats. So I tried to see how Koko eats. I fed her a cup and a little. It took her about 3 mins and 30 sec.
レイくんママがレイくんがどんなに早く食べるのか録画していたのでまねしてみました。１カップ（アメリカの１カップは２４０mlくらいです）とちょいです。３分半かかりました。

We are about to leave when I saw Major and Maggie coming out of their car. So we decided to stay for little longer.
ちょうど帰ろうとしたところ、メジャーとマギーが車から出てくるところを発見。ということでもうしばらく遊ぶことに。

Hail ヒョウ

The weather wasn't that bad yesterday until like 7pm. Tornado warning was issued in this area around that time, and the weather got really bad.
昨日は天気がそれほど悪くはなかったんです、夜７時頃までは。トルネード警報がここら辺に発令されて、それから天気がすごいことに。警報は２日連続でした。



Then, it started hailing pretty bad. At first it was like dime sized hail, but it started getting bigger and bigger. The radio was saying something like baseball size, but I saw at least golf ball size out side the house.
で、ヒョウが降ってきました。最初は10セント大だったんですが、だんだん大きくなってきました。ラジオでは野球のボールサイズが降っていると言ってましたが、窓の外ではゴルフボールくらいはあるだろうヒョウが降っていました。





This if from morning... Marcus' car got a bunch of dents from the hail last night. I'm glad I had my car in the garage.
今朝。。。マーカスの車はヒョウでえらいダメージを受けてました。自分の車がガレージに入れてあったのをラッキーに思います。

We went to the school today again with Kobey. He is almost fully grown now. He's really handsome. I'm gonna post some pics here, but click here for more.
またコービーと学校へ遊びに行きました。コービーは成犬にだいぶ近づいてきました。かなりハンサムくんです。少しここに写真投稿しますが、こちらにもっとあります。

Jury Summons 陪審員の召喚状

I've been pretty busy lately and hadn't updated this blog for a while. But I wanted to post something real quick. Yeah I've been receiving letters from Navy and Army and stuff (they want me to serve for the United States of America....), but I was just ignoring them. Today, I finally received this thing. Yeah, jury summons. I am not a citizen of the United States. I don't think I can come up there and do whatever they want me to do....

It was raining (pretty hard) today, so we decided not to go to school today.
今日は雨がかなり激しく降っていたので、学校へお散歩は行くのをやめました。

20〜30分ボールをとってこいした後はいつも口のまわりは芝生だらけです。

I got these whistler balls for her, and she loves them!!
投げると音のなるボールを買ってあげたんですが、かなりお気に入りのようです。

Koko finally got to play with Kobey today. Kobey's just growing like crazy! He's 55lb already!!
やっとコービーと遊ぶことができました。コービーはすごいスピードで成長してます。すでに５５ポンド！
