Digging! 穴堀り！

Okay, I started preparing for my farm. (here in East Texas, we start using A/C from end of February or beginning of March) I'm planning on planting some Japanese cucumber, zucchini, okra, mulukhiyah, sweet basil, rosemary, tomato, green beans, coriander (cilantro) plants. Since I live in an area full of red clay and rocks, I have to dig and fill up with potting soil... I hate red clay!!
春に向けて菜園の準備に取りかかりました。ここら辺は２月の終わりから３月の初めには冷房を使い始める地域なので、早めの準備です。今年は日本のキュウリ、ズッキーニ、オクラ、モロヘイヤ、バジル、ローズマリー、トマト、グリーンビーンズ、コリアンダーなどを育てる予定。ここら辺の土壌は完全な赤粘土。穴を掘って園芸用の土に入れ替えないといけないのでもう大変！
